A coalition of local churches in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Church (FGBC) is coming together to serve alongside a local church in Houston. While details are still coming together, the view from 30,000 feet looks something like this:
- a growing coalition comprised so far of around 15 GBCs
- our goal is to send sustained help (teams) to serve over a period of approximately 3 months.
- the hope is to deploy around 15 teams from mid-September to mid-December
PRAISE GOD
- for the quality partner we have found in Houston. This missions pastor is a former member of a well-known GBC, and is like-minded with us in philosophy. They also have the capacity to handle the teams we send their way.
- for our FGBC churches who are always so ready to step up to help!
- a local FGBC church that is putting together a tool trailer that will be ready to roll by the time the first team deploys in mid-September! It will serve most of the teams we deploy!
PRAY:
- for funding – for initial relief supplies, materials, support for teams as needed, etc.
